Professor Enrique García-Berro died in a mountain accident.

Our colleague Enrique García-Berro died tragically on September 23rd while hiking on the Pyrenees mountains (http://www.heraldo.es/noticias/aragon/2017/09/25/localizado-cuerpo-montanero-fallecido-zona-del-pico-infernos-1198467-300.html).

Professor García-Berro was a renowned scientist of our Departament, internationally recognized in the field of astrophysics, who performed also an important management task as a former Department director, vice-director of EETAC, Human resources vice-rector of UPC and Director of the Generalitat de Catalunya Serra-Hunter programme. The Physics Department expresses is deepest consternation and solidarity to the family of our colleague and, on top of that, friend. Rest in peace.
