The Prof. Saul Perlmutter will be awarded a Doctor Honoris Causa from the University of Barcelona

At the proposal of the Faculty of Physics, the University of Barcelona will appoint Doctor Honoris Causa to Professor Saul Perlmutter. Saul Perlmutter, Adam Riess and Brian P. Schmidt were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2011 for discovering that the expansion of the universe is accelerating, contrary to what had been believed until then.

The event will take place on Monday, May 20, at 12 noon, at the Auditorium of the Historical Building (Gran Vía de las Corts Catalanes, 585).
