The researcher Javier Argüello awarded in the first call for the RSEF-EPJ+ award for the best doctoral theses

The award was announced for doctoral theses that have been awarded by the different divisions and specialized groups of the RSEF

With the aim of promoting one of the activities included in the statutes of the Royal Spanish Society of Physics (RSEF), “Granting prizes and distinctions to those who stand out in their professional activity”, the RSEF-EPJ+ First Prize for doctoral theses has been announced. that have been awarded by the different divisions and specialized groups of the RSEF, in three areas: i) Atomic, particle and nuclear physics; ii) Physics of matter, iii) Applied physics.

In this first call for the RSEF-EPJ+ AWARD FOR THE BEST DOCTORAL THESES OF THE DIVISIONS AND SPECIALIZED GROUPS OF THE RSEF Javier Argüello, reader of the Physics department of the UPC, has been selected as the winner in the category of Atomic, particle and nuclear physics for your thesis titled "Synthetic Quantum Matter using Atoms and Light" which had previously been awarded by the DFMC-GEFES and GEFAM.
